![]() Tangible Tuesday's request was for a pirate ship. I didn't have time to draw an entire ship in the hour or so that I give myself for these sketches, but I am happy with what is here. I hope you like it Tyson! I have your Watercolor Wednesday request in the works!

![]() Scott and Amanda requested Cinnamon Bun from Adventure Time "looking super hardcore" for Monster Monday. I don't know if I quite got to "super hardcore," but he is kind of creepy looking (I wouldn't eat him). I drew this with ballpoint pen and crayons--lots of fun! Special thanks to those of you who have made requests! I have several more in the works; here is a list:
![]() As requested: Ron Stoppable and Danny Fenton with their pants down! This was a request from Martin. These characters are from Kim Possible and Danny Phantom respectively, but both share the unfortunate fate of often having their pants fall down! (Time to invest in a belt?) This gave me some more practice in Adobe Illustrator, and a chance to draw boxer shorts! I hope you like it Martin! Requests to come:
![]() Late is better than never! This is a watercolor I did of the Pokemon Sandslash for my cousin and good friend Tyson. I tried some some different techniques with it, so that's my excuse for the elementary school student look it has! Hopefully you like it anyway! I also ended up taking Tyson's advice about the wings on my Final Fantasy design. I decided to make the wing into a shield to give it some purpose in the design. Thanks for the great advice! I love how my design turned out, and you can see the final result here. I'll have Friday's post up tomorrow! Stay tuned! ![]() For Tangible Tuesday, my friend Devin requested I design a steampunk outfit. I am also entering a contest on deviantART to design a costume for the Final Fantasy character, Lightning. So...here are some ideas for my Lightning steampunk outfit. I would love any opinions or comments! I'll be doing the final picture tomorrow, so if you want to give me your two cents, do it now! ![]() This is fan art of Vile from the Mega Man X series (some of my favorite video games ever). Yes, he looks a lot like Boba Fett from Star Wars--I'm sure that's where the inspiration for his design came from--but don't blame me for the coincidence! I drew this in ballpoint pen and added a quick background in Photoshop for fun. I hope you like it Mark! For the next week or two, I will only be posting a sketch on days that I have a request. That doesn't mean I don't want requests! I have a few already, and I'm happy to take more--I just don't plan on posting every day unless you want to see something specific. I'm not discouraged or anything. I just have a lot of projects going on right now and I'm going to be focusing more on them for the next few weeks. Remember, you can post a request on any day and on any of my blog posts! I'm still here, even if things look a little less active on the blog--don't go away! ![]() I wasn't exactly going for creepy, but she may have turned out a bit that way! This is my version of a naiad. Missvirginia (one of my biggest fans) requested this one. I think this naiad is also kind of cute, but the drippy hair and water might have too much in common with horror movies. I'll have to play around with naiad designs again in the future. Tomorrow I'll be posting some Mega Man X fan art, so come back soon! ![]() I managed to draw another steampunk-ish mechanized Pokemon! This is Raichu, the evolved form of Pikachu. Don't hate me, but I've actually always preferred Raichu to Pikachu. That is all. If you're dying to see some fan art of your favorite something-or-other, leave a comment below and I will draw it for Fan Art Friday! Okay, that is really all. ![]() The wonderful Missvirginia requested a cloth study for Tangible Tuesday. I don't think this is exactly what you expected, but I've been stuck at work all day. That means I couldn't really draw, but I am allowed to work on the computer when I don't have people to help. So this is a cloth study done in Adobe Illustrator. I like how it turned out, but I basically drew it right over the top of a reference photo I got from AilinStock, so a lot of the credit goes to the nice photo--click here to see it. Next time I'll try and do a study from life with pen or pencil, but this was still good practice. I'll be posting Wednesday's pic later today as well, so get super excited! I already have a request for Thursday's sketch, but I'm looking for a Fan Art Friday suggestion! You can post it here or in the comments section on any of my posts. Yes. ![]() I just decided to have fun for this Monster Monday. I wanted to draw a tree creature and this little guy is what came out of my pen! I've decided I need to spend less time on these sketches so that I can have enough time to work on other art projects. My goal is to spend between 30 and 60 minutes each day on my blog sketch. This guy took about 45 minutes from start to finish. I have some requests coming up this week, so come back soon! |
